Join Gráinne Bear and her friends on her trail of Granuaile, Ireland's own Pirate Queen.

The Discovery, the first in a series of this set of children’s books, sees the bear clan discovered and saved from pirates by Grace O’Malley during one of her ferocious battles along Clew Bay back in the 16th Century.

In the book Gráinne Bear and her family recounts the adventures of their ancestors, featuring historical sites where the magic happens… and how they ended up settling in Newport, County Mayo.

This 48-page eye-catching children’s book is filled with fantastic illustrations and magical stories that merge history and fiction.

You will surely be enchanted by these bears’ tales and adventures.
